Review book by Lisa

Check out The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart (Magic Most Foul, #2) on Goodreads.

Good Reads

Hi! I'm THE missing Lisa that Sarah has mentioned!!

I started to read Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart- The magic most foul. Let me tell you that I read about 10 pages before realizing there was a book before this one!! Ugh!!! How did I not know that?! (It was not printed anywhere stating it was:"PART TWO") Come on publishers and authors!! If you want us to read your books in certain orders so it makes sense- then start putting the info somewhere in your books (like the first several pages with the congress of library page for an example!).

Now, I could have continued to read the book but why would I want to knowing I missed the "background". So back to the library I went to seek for the first book. They did not have it so I had to put a request in.

Wanna know what I checked out instead of the Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart ~ book 1 (whatever your name is)?? Well it's not a young author book, Fifty Shades of Grey. Now before you roll your eye- (trust me I was highly guessing myself why I would want to read it), the book clearly states it's the first of 3 in the series! No brainer=happy reader!

Ta Ta for now! A book is calling my name!

SkyFall Movie

Another date night for hubby and I! We headed out the movie theatre near my mother's who knows that movies are closed captioned! We settled in the theatre and we were the first one there as we got great seats. I thought for sure the theatre would be packed but obviously there was a football that time too!

After the previews were done and the popcorn is half way eaten, the movie began. It was sooo good! This was the best James Bond movie ever! The storyline that started off was filled with action and drama. It was amazing. I loved how 007 reacts to M.

The action was great..trains, cars, tunnels, helicopters..you name it! The ending was a bit surprising in its own way. I was glad to see London filmed in this movie as it made me miss London! I so want to go back there one day to sight see! The film was also in Turkey as my hubby confirmed it since he has been to Turkey before. :)

If you are a James Bond fan..I suggest you go see this movie now. After a day of seeing it, I could not get the movie out of my head, it was THAT good!

Lincoln the Movie

Lincoln

My husband and I headed off to the movie theatre this past weekend and saw the movie Lincoln. It was something my husband wanted to see. I thought I'd give it a go. Of course the movie had an amazing actors and actresses in it.

We arrived at the movie theatre, got the tickets and I asked for the closed caption box because it said the move was Closed Caption from the website. The person at the register didn't know if the movie was closed caption or not, so he asked his fellow co worker and that person didn't know either but managed to get the closed caption box. At this point I was like well either the movie is or isn't captioned.

My husband(M) got some popcorn and something to drink as I got the closed caption box. So off to the theatre we went! We must have gone through tons of previews. It seemed like more previews are out there now than before. Wow. Once the movie started, it was closed captioned! Yay for me! My husband and I could enjoy the movie together.

It was quite fascinating for me watch. I personally think this movie should be shown in history classes to teach us how it worked back then. It made sense to me how it all went down with Lincoln and the vote. I'm not giving the whole plot of the movie. You got to go see it.

I loved Sally Field and her sharp tongue in this movie. Tommy Lee Jones was amazing! He had a lot of character to him and there was something surprising in the film that you see at the end about his character. Of course the man who plays Lincoln Daniel Day-Lewis is amazing as always. I always liked him in The Last of the Mohicans. Then there's Joseph-Gordon Levitt who plays Lincoln's son and just does an excellent job as well.

It was quite an adventure to watch this movie and to see how it goes. It was a little slow but fascinating! As the movie was over, I returned the caption box as another worker there at the theatre didn't know what it was. I explained it to him and he asked if the movie was good. I told him yes. I softly chuckled as we left the theatre thinking that if you work at a movie theatre, you should be aware of everything that's in it. Educate yourself with all the aspects of it and know whether or not the movies have closed caption or not. It's up on the website..technology these days!

Thumbs up for this movie..go see if it you like historical movies!!
